This is my first post and I hope some of you with sleep disorders can help. What led you to get help? My husband has had sleeping problems for years, and now has progressed to narcolepsy, he sleeps while standing still, often yells in his sleep, etc. He did go for a sleep study several years ago, was ordered a CPAP machine (has RLS, narcolepsy, OSA) But he refuses to use the CPAP and refuses to return to the DR. he also takes multiple pain meds for chronic pain, which does not help with the narcolepsy. I will not ride in a car with him while he is driving, when i am driving he has moved the gear shifter in his sleep, once I found him behind the wheel of his vehicle in the driveway, while asleep (I thought he was in bed). At this point I am ready to separate rather than see him go downhill from not caring for himself.
So, again, what motivated you to get and comply with CPAP and other treatments?
Thanks for the help.
