Hope I am in the right place.

I have been sleep walking and talking for a while now.

I recently purchased an iPhone and bought an app called Sleep Talk which records your sleep and picks up any talking.

My wife has recently had our son and I regular think he is in our bed.

Last night has worried me. I got up in my sleep and shouted sh*t then lent over my wife and had my hand on her face and she was screaming telling me to get off then she had to hit me.

I then say where is **** (My sons name) then again and again then I wake up.

It all sounds funny and listening to it is crazy but it is quite worrying.

What is happening here?

I only talk in my sleep when i am really tired.

Any ideas?

As a 4 year old, my son had night terrors 2 to 3 times. Since the last episode he was fine up until now. He turned 8 in September. Since Oct 31, he has woken up 3 times about 2 to 3 hours after going to sleep. He wakes up talking and continually says "I love you mom, I love you mom". I say I love him. I was scared to death at first, really I still am. While he was talking, it was like he couldn't control his muscles in his face. He made awful looking faces. His talking was very nervous like and on edge. "huh, mom? What? Oh, I love you!!! I love you soooo much!!" was all he would say. Then he woke up not knowing all that happened. The next time was about the same, but he wanted to bolt out of the room. He talked the same way. Eyes wide open saying, "I love you, I love you". Tonight he woke up about an hour after he fell asleep. This time he got in my face and said he was going to punch me. Then he would say how much he loved me and he is so sorry. He would hug and hug me, but I could tell he wasn't himself. I could tell by the look in his eyes. They were very open and round. He would bolt out of the bed and head to the hall. I called him back, and he would jump and turn back toward his bed yelling, "What?" He still would not be "coherent". I don't know exactly what is happening. He goes to bed at 8 and I wake him up at 6. He is not sleepy at school, and I don't have a hard time getting him up. His dad, my husband, did pass away 2 years ago. Could this have something to do with it? Should I seek medical attention? The first time it happened was on Halloween and I almost took him to the ER thinking he had been drugged. What should I do?
