Hello! I'm new to this...discussion forums and narcolepsy! My son (17 years old) has just been diagnosed (2 days ago) with narcolepsy and is taking 150 mg Nuvigil/day. So far it is not agreeing with him. Should he hang in there and let his body get used to it? Should we ask for a different dosage? Should we ask for something else? His side effects are dizziness, heavy feeling in his legs and just feels like sitting and staring at the wall - zoning out. He has fallen asleep (nap) both days that he's been on it. I guess my question is - how long does it take to get used to Nuvigil? Will he ever feel awake? |
