My husband won't leave me alone at night so I can sleep.  I have to wake at 5 a.m. for work (he doesn't wake up until 7 a.m.), so i go to bed around 9 p.m.  After i go to bed, my husband comes into the room every 15 to 20 minutes or so to talk to me or generally aggravate me in some way until he comes to bed between 11 or 12.  I've tried to talk to him about not disturbing me in the time that i'm trying to sleep when he hasn't come to be yet, because it's the only time i get any good sleep and i have get up so early.  But he just doesn't seem to get it!  It's starting to affect my work, my concentration, my cognition, and my ability to make it to work every day because i'm so tired.  Short of screaming at him to leave me alone, what can i do?

Be assertive.  Set aside some time before bed to allow your husband to talk.  Let him now this time is for discussion and after you go to bed you expect to be left alone.  Tell him you feel angry and frustrated by his constant awakenings.  Tell him you need your rest to function at work, and to be a good partner to him.

I agree I think that if you and your husband get to have time together before you go to bed then he should run out of things to say .

If this dosnt work why dont you try to pretend your asleep then mabe he wont talk to you  see if that works !

other wize I think that you are going to get really sleep deprived

Yes even I agree, You should give some time to your husband before going to bed, So that he will get satisfaction and he will not going to disturb you, so try it!!

Start waking him up at 0500 when you get up every 15 minutes.

Will he disturb you if you pretend to be asleep?
